Hello friends, we hope that you have enjoyed your summer. VivazzA members were so busy the last few months, we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to give a spring update. Before the new season starts, we wanted to show you some of the wonderful things that have been happening since the beginning of the year.
Offenbach in der Musik seiner Zeit „Offenbach Jahr 2019“
VivazzA had the pleasure of opening the Offenbach Jahr celebration of the Institut francais Cologne to a sold-out and enthusiatic audience. Many thanks to those who came, the volunteers that helped us with the organisation as well as the „Freundeskreis des Institut francais“ who wrote a lovely review which said among other things „You have taken forgotten composers and given them a well.deserved rebirth... Even the sound of the ensemble: youthful, clear, fresh, compelling one ́s attention. An exceptional musical experience- Merci á Vous!“
The complete review can be read under the our „Reviews“ Rubrik.

3rd chamber music course in Alt-Hürth
Exciting news: Our chamber music course received funding from the Landesmusikrat NRW e.V.– This funding was the first VivazzA e.V. received from a foundation! We look forward to further cooperation with the Landesmusikrat, among other foundations, in the future to help us accomplish our goal of bringing classical music to a broader audience. If you are interested in supporting VivazzA by either becoming a „friend“ to the Verein or giving a donation, don ́t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since our non-for-profit organization is a „gemeinnützig“ Verein, all monetary donations have the possibility of being tax-deductible. For more information: http://vivazza.com/en_vivazza-ev.html
This year ́s course concentrated on different combinations of wind chamber music. Pieces performed included movements from Schuberts Oktett, the elsässer composer (who studied in the Cologne Conservatory), Leo Justinus Kauffmanns Quintett, as well as a piano trio from the french women composer, Mel Bonis.
Next year ́s course is planned for the 20th-22nd of March! The course will be in celebration of Beethovens 250th Birthday and will include his works as well as his contemporaries (and some modern composers as well).
Applications will be available starting the end of September. We welcome early applications and are interested in having as many participants as possible; winds as well as strings to perform many of Beethovens works. So tell as many friends as you can!
Children Programm Erdnüsschen
VivazzA had the honor of giving the german premiere of the children ́s program, „Erdnüsschen: das Abenteuer im Tierpark“ composed by the Dutch composer, Monique Krüs at the International School on the Rhine in Neuss and the St. Nikolausschule in Köln-Zollstock. This interactive program was extremely well-received by the students and teachers alike. We also had a lovely review from the Kölner Stadt Anzeiger, which can be read in the „Reviews“ Rubik. Further concerts include performances in the Theatermuseum in Düsseldorf in 2020- other concerts will be posted as soon as possible under our „Event“ Rubrik.
Tanzproject, Kontakt: Tanz
The non-for-profit organization Kom!ma e.V. has been supporting VivazzAs residency in the Bürgerhaus Bilk im Salzmannbau. A special part of this residency included a 3 day workshop with the dancer and choreographer, Valentina Schulte-Ladbeck. This culminated in a first-draft performance of our work, that was free and open to the public. A special thanks to all of those who braved the 40 degree Celsius heat to see us perform.
Within the next days we will place the dates for our new concert season- Please check back to our page for further updates.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our concerts.
Sincerely yours, VivazzA
